Kim handled Willow in Agility in May 2002 for
Karen Peterlin, who was called to work and could not attend the trial.
Kim fell in love with Willow and became her primary handler and co-owner.
In the
fourteen month
period starting May 2002, Willow and Kim finished their OA, OAJ, AX,
AXJ, MXJ earned four MX legs, and
accumulated about 65 MACH points and two Double Qs. She finished her
MX five trials later and was close to her MACH when an unfortunate
veterinary incident ended her agility career..

Kim and Willow had so much fun doing agility they
started working Obedience together as well. In
March of 2003 they made their debut in Open A and earned their first leg
on their CDX with a 198, which included a perfect heeling score. Willow finished her CDX in three
consecutive weekends with two First Places (198 and 193). She earned
two more placements in Clarksville, TN in late
April with scores of 192.5 and 195 and three more placements
in Tupelo, MS in May with 190, 193.5, 195.5. In her 60-day Open A
career Willow earned 43 First and Foremost Points and 47 Delany Points with
7 placements out of 8
qualifying scores (four 1sts, two 2nds and one 3rd) and an average score
over 193. Willow began showing Utility and Rally in 2005. She earned her
1st Utility leg on her third trial weekend. She finished her Utility
Dog title and completed her Rally Excellent and some extras just for
fun, most often placing.
