GENERAL RULES & REGS FOR DOGFEST:

GENERAL: Mixed breeds are welcome to compete in obedience or agility. Handlers are responsible for their behavior of their dogs, and their children. Aggressive dogs *must* be under control at all times or must leave the premises. CONFORMATION: Dogs competing in conformation classes must be pure-bred but not necessarily registered and should be clean and properly groomed. OBEDIENCE: Prong collars, food and other training aids are allowed in the ring, but will result in deduction from score. Mild corrections permitted. Dogs may compete in more than one class and/or go thru same class more than once. Preference in order will be given to dogs who have pre-entered. Dogs holding the titles of CDX & above will be exhibition only in Graduate Novice and below. Dogs entered in Novice B or higher are not eligible for prizes in Subnovice. Dogs entered more than once in the same class are eligible for prizes based on the 1st run only. Subsequent run-thrus will be exhibition only. Novice A restricted to dogs and handlers who have not yet earned a CD. Dogs holding a CD or higher may not enter Subnovice or Novice A. Otherwise, dogs may enter classes for which they already hold a title. However, OTCH dogs will be allowed to compete in Open B and Utility B for class prizes and high combined, but will not be eligible for High Scores in Match. AGILITY: Due to lack of interest, we will no longer be offering Agility at DogFest. CGC: CGC participants must enter an obedience class and bring their score sheets to the CGC table. We will be using the heel on lead, recall, sit and/or down stay as part of the CGC requirements and then will administer the remainder of the test separately. CGC entries accepted on pre-entry basis only and costs $5 per dog. Proof of rabies and city licenses (where required) must be submitted with your enty.
